There’s something about Ash Brazill’s presence that is uniquely comforting. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly why.
Perhaps it is because she fills any room with her infectious energy, or maybe it’s her willingness to make time for everyone, even the fans who stop her on the street. “Hey legend”, a phrase she uses so often to greet both mates and complete strangers.
  • Netball career

Ash started her professional netball career in 2010 with the NSW Swifts. In 2012 Ash made the move to Western Australia with the West Coast Fever to be coached under former Australian coach Norma Plummer. With an immediate impact in her new team Ash was named MPV of her first season with the Fever.

Even though being one of the longest players with the West Coast Fever Ash was named the Captain in 2015 and 2016. Ash had her first call up with the Australian Diamonds Squad in 2015 and debut against the New Zealand Silver Ferns, with Australia taking home the Constellation Cup
With the first taste of the Australian Diamonds, Ash wanted to strive to be the best. So in 2017 when Collingwood Magpies brought a team in the Suncorp Super Netball, Ash made the tough decision to leave a team she loved to chase her dreams to represent her country.

Ash’s game went to another level with the Collingwood magpies, Taking out multiple runner up and MVP awards. In 2020 Ash had a major setback rupturing her ACL. With 12 months out of the game Ash worked on her strength in the gym and spent a lot of the time doing video analysis to get that 1% which would see Ash be named in the 2023 Gold medal Commonwealth games team and the 2024 World Cup Champion team. With the two major gold medals in Ash’ pocket it was time to hug up the netball shoes and concentrate on AFLW.
  • Australian rules football career

In 2017, Ash Brazill made her debut in the AFLW with the Collingwood Football Club.
