Register

For team sports, a Team Manager can be nominated. This role can be filled by one of the players or a non-playing official.

Make sure you select  'Team  Manager' when registering.  See the instructions on how to register as Team Manager ( PDF, 0.55 MB ).

The Team Manager is responsible for entering each player's name and email address, which will force the system to send an email with a link to allow players to formally join the team and finish and pay for their registration.

Team Managers are to collect all your team players full names and emails ready prior to registering. You are unable to go back and add more or new players.

If a nominated player didn’t get an email from the team manager, or you require a new player to be added to the team, the player can still register as a competitor and enter your team’s name (hint: find who your team’s name is prior to registration.Team should already be pre-registered by a Team Manager).

Team Managers can get a LIVE link report to monitor their teams registrations; this report can be requested by emailing the Great Barrier Reef Masters Games Team at gbrmasters@cairns.qld.gov.au

If you don't have a team, you can still register and select ‘I need a team’ and the sports organiser will assign you a team.

**If a team player has advised they haven’t received an email to join the team, please ask them to check their junk/spam folder.

Non-playing participants including umpires, scorers, team managers, coaches and support staff. You will be linked to the team and eligible for medals but cannot compete in the sport.

Games fees include accreditation to the Games, exclusive entry into the nightly social hub and entertainment program, athlete program, Games bag and merchandise, exclusive offers, newsletter and winning medals (if eligible).

As you are not participating in the sport, there is no Sports Fee applied during registration.

To register select 'Non-Playing Official' as your sport.

A Supporter is a person who wants to experience the fun and atmosphere of the Games, without playing in any sporting competition.

The Supporter fee entitles you to accreditation to the Games with exclusive entry into the nightly social hub and entertainment program, souvenir booklet, Games bag and merchandise, exclusive offers, newsletter.

As part of your Games registration fee, competitors, supporters and non-playing officials will receive a Great Barrier Reef Masters Games registration pack - which includes a bag, hat and towel.

Your registration packs are available when you check in at the Games hub.

• Cairns Regional Council delivers the Great Barrier Reef Masters Games.
• The minimum age requirement for the majority of sports participants is 30 years. Please check your sport for specific details.
• Registrations are not confirmed until payment is made. Once payment is made a confirmation of your registration is sent to your supplied email.
• Credit card or debit card (MasterCard, Amex and Visa Card) are the only available method of payment.
• You must read and accept the Terms and Conditions before entering.
• Before entering, please read the sports information for your chosen sport/s so you are aware of the general sports details including sport fee, competition dates and entry requirements.
• Refunds are only available as per Terms and Conditions.
• A $20 administration fee will be charged from 1 April 2025 for any entrant fully withdrawing from the Games, with applicable proof.
• Refund requests submitted after 30 April 2025 will not be accepted.
• All fees include GST.
• Accreditation's must be collected from the Games hub from Tuesday 27 May 2025 onwards - prior to the start of your competition.
